Online tutors in Dallas

Heights International Academy teaches Dallas students live online, one-to-one or in small groups, for AP, IB and University subjects. Classes are scheduled in US Eastern Time (EST/EDT); other cities shown in local time, after school and at weekends, fees are shown in USD, and the first class is free.

The Dallas–Fort Worth area covers a huge region, with students in Dallas ISD and in fast-growing suburban districts such as Plano, Frisco and Irving. Many families commute long distances, so after-school tutoring that needs another drive is hard to schedule. Online tutoring fits around school and activities. Texas's automatic admission policy for top-ranked graduates at public universities makes class rank and GPA especially important, so many students want steady support in AP and core courses throughout high school.

Questions from Dallas families

Do you tutor AP courses for Dallas students?

Yes, we tutor Dallas students in AP courses including Calculus AB and BC, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Statistics. Tutors follow the College Board course framework and practise free-response questions with official scoring guidelines. Steady support across the year helps protect GPA as well as the May exam score.

How much does a tutor cost in Dallas?

Tutor costs in Dallas depend on subject, level, tutor experience and format. Our own fees are listed in USD on our pricing page and apply to live online lessons, with no driving across the metroplex. AP and IB lessons sit at a higher price tier than standard high school courses.

Can you help with Algebra I and the STAAR exam in Dallas?

Yes, we help Dallas students with Algebra I and the STAAR end-of-course exam, covering linear functions, equations, quadratics and data. Tutors use released STAAR questions to build familiarity with the format. Tell us when your child's exam is, and we will plan regular sessions in the weeks before it.

Is online tutoring better than an in-home tutor in Dallas?

Online tutoring is often more convenient than an in-home tutor in Dallas, because nobody has to drive across a large metro area and the choice of specialists is wider. An in-home tutor gives in-person supervision for children who need it. We teach online only and do not visit homes.

Do you offer SAT prep for Dallas students?

Yes, we offer digital SAT prep for Dallas students, covering Reading and Writing and Math. Tutors start with an official practice test, then target the question types that cost the most points. Tell us your test date and the colleges on your list, and we will build a plan around them.
