What we can help with
We focus on first- and second-year modules with a strong problem-solving element: single and multivariable calculus, linear algebra, probability and statistics, introductory physics, programming in Python or Java, micro- and macroeconomics, and introductory accounting and finance.
For more specialised or advanced modules, we can only offer tutoring if a suitably qualified tutor is available, so please share the module outline when you get in touch.
How university tutoring works
Before tutoring begins, we ask for the module outline and a recent problem set or past paper so we can match the right tutor. Sessions are then built around the student's own course: clarifying lecture content, working through practice problems and preparing for exams.
Tutoring supports learning only. We follow academic integrity rules and do not write or complete assessed work.
Bridging from school to university
Many students find the first year of university harder than expected, especially in maths-heavy courses where lectures move quickly. A few sessions early in the first semester can help students fill gaps from A Level, IB, FSc or high school before they affect later modules.
When are University exams and how are they graded?
Semester exams
Exams and assessment dates are set by each university, usually at the end of each semester or term.
Many courses also have mid-semester tests, problem sets and lab reports.
How University is graded
Grading varies by university and country. UK universities often report degree classifications such as first, upper second and lower second, while universities in North America and Pakistan commonly use letter grades and a GPA, and Australian universities use grade bands such as High Distinction. Module marks usually combine coursework and exams in proportions set by the course.
How does online University tutoring work?
Diagnostic
A short check of what your child already knows against the syllabus.
Topic teaching
Clear explanations on a shared whiteboard, one topic at a time.
Past-paper practice
Exam questions from your board, timed and marked to the mark scheme.
Feedback
What went well, what to fix and what to practise before next class.
University tutoring suits first-year students finding the step up from A Level, IB, FSc or high school demanding, students returning to study, and those who need help in a quantitative module outside their main subject. Availability depends on finding a tutor who matches the module's level and content, so we confirm the match before the first paid session. Sessions are booked in your local time, around lectures and exam periods.

University questions parents ask
Do you offer tutoring for university subjects?
Yes, we offer online tutoring for first- and second-year university modules, mainly in calculus, linear algebra, statistics, physics, programming, economics and accounting. Availability depends on matching a tutor to your module's level and content, so we ask for your module outline first and confirm a suitable tutor before starting.
Can you help with university assignments?
We help students understand the concepts and methods behind their assignments, but we do not complete graded work for them. Tutors can explain lecture material, work through similar practice problems and review a student's own approach. This keeps the support within university academic integrity rules while still helping the student make progress.
Do you tutor university statistics and calculus?
Yes, university calculus and statistics are among the modules we tutor most often. Tutors follow your course's module outline and notation, and can cover topics such as differentiation, integration, multivariable calculus, probability, distributions, hypothesis testing and regression. Share your module outline and we will confirm the right tutor.
Can you help with Python programming for university courses?
Yes, we can tutor introductory programming in Python and, depending on tutor availability, Java. Sessions cover core concepts such as variables, control flow, functions, data structures and debugging, using exercises similar to your course's labs. We guide students through their own code rather than writing assessed code for them.
How is university tutoring arranged across time zones?
University tutoring sessions are booked in your local time, whether you study in Pakistan, the Gulf, the UK, Canada, the USA or Australia. Sessions are usually one-to-one and can be scheduled around lectures and exam periods. Fees are shown in your currency on our pricing page, and a free trial class is available.
What should I send before university tutoring starts?
Please send your module outline or syllabus, the textbook or lecture notes if available, and a recent problem set or past paper. This helps us match a tutor who knows the content at the right level and plan the first session around what you find hardest. We confirm the tutor match before booking.
