Privacy policy

Last updated:

This privacy policy explains what personal information Heights International Academy collects from parents, students and tutors, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with and the choices you have, including how optional analytics cookies stay off unless you accept them.

Who we are

Heights International Academy provides live online tutoring. You can contact us about privacy at info@heightsinstitute.com.

What we collect

  • Details you give us in forms or chat: name, WhatsApp or phone number, email, country, curriculum, subject, year group, preferred class times and any message you write.
  • Tutor applications: the details above plus subjects, boards, experience and any links you share (for example a CV link).
  • Basic technical data: pages visited and device information, collected through analytics tools only if they are switched on.

How we use it

  • To arrange your free trial class and contact you about it on WhatsApp, phone or email.
  • To provide and manage classes, scheduling, billing and progress updates.
  • To assess tutor applications.
  • To improve our website and services.

We only send marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.

The AI assistant

Our website assistant is powered by a third-party AI model. Messages you type are sent to that provider to generate a reply. Please do not share sensitive information in the chat. If you ask the assistant to book a trial, the details you provide are saved as a trial request.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the tutor assigned to your child and with service providers who help us run the academy (for example hosting, messaging, email and analytics), under appropriate agreements. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and student records for as long as classes continue plus a reasonable period afterwards for accounting and safeguarding. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email info@heightsinstitute.com.

Children

Where a student is under 18, we expect a parent or guardian to make the booking and we communicate with them about the student's classes. See our safeguarding policy.

Cookies and local storage

We store small preferences in your browser, such as your chosen currency and colour theme. Optional analytics (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, including Core Web Vitals performance measurements) load only after you choose “Accept analytics” in the cookie banner; until then, and if you decline, they set no cookies. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer.
