Online tuition in Karachi

Heights International Academy teaches Karachi students live online, one-to-one or in small groups, for O Level, A Level, Matric and FSc / Intermediate. Classes are scheduled in Pakistan Standard Time (PKT, UTC+5), after school and at weekends, fees are shown in PKR, and the first class is free.

Karachi is Pakistan's largest city, and getting across it after school can take an hour or more on roads like Shahrah-e-Faisal and University Road. Families from DHA and Clifton to Gulshan-e-Iqbal and North Nazimabad use online tuition so that evenings go on study rather than traffic. The city has a large Cambridge O and A Level sector alongside Sindh board schools, so students often need a tutor who knows one specific syllabus. Online classes also keep going when heavy monsoon rain floods roads in July and August.

Where do Karachi students sit their exams?

Exam centres and registration

School candidates sit Cambridge and Edexcel exams at their own school if it is a registered centre. Private candidates register with the British Council, which has an office in Karachi and publishes venue details with each series. BSEK and BIEK private candidates apply directly to the boards, whose offices and online portals list current admission schedules.

School calendar

Sindh schools follow the provincial calendar: the school year starts in April, summer vacation usually runs through June and July, and colleges begin their academic year in August. Monsoon rain in July and August sometimes closes schools for a day or two at short notice. BSEK and BIEK annual exams usually take place in spring and early summer, so Class 9, 10 and 12 students often book extra sessions from January onwards.

Questions from Karachi families

What is the fee for O Level tuition in Karachi?

O Level tuition fees for Karachi students are listed in PKR on our pricing page. The amount depends on whether you choose one-to-one or small-group classes and how many sessions a week your child needs. Because lessons are online, there is no added travel cost, and the same fee applies whether you live in DHA, Gulshan or Malir.

Is online tuition better than home tuition in Karachi?

For most secondary students in Karachi, online tuition is the more practical option because it avoids cross-city travel and gives access to tutors who specialise in one syllabus. Home tuition can suit a younger child who needs an adult beside them. We teach online only, and parents can sit in on lessons, which many families find reassuring compared with a stranger visiting the home.

Which is the best O Level academy in Karachi?

The best O Level academy for your child is one whose tutors teach the exact Cambridge syllabus code, use past papers and mark schemes every week, and report progress to parents. Ask any academy about class size, tutor experience and how missed lessons are handled. We offer online one-to-one and small-group O Level classes, and you can compare us against those criteria.

Do you teach Karachi Board (BSEK) Matric students?

Yes, we teach BSEK Matric students in Classes 9 and 10, as well as BIEK Intermediate students in Classes 11 and 12. Our tutors work from the Sindh textbooks and the board's past papers, and focus on the question styles that BSEK and BIEK papers use. Tell us your group (science or general) and subjects when you enquire.

What happens if there's a power outage during class?

If a power cut or internet drop interrupts a lesson, your child can rejoin from a phone on mobile data, and the tutor will wait a few minutes before continuing. If the class cannot resume, tell us and we will work out a make-up slot where possible. A small UPS for your Wi-Fi router keeps most connections running through load-shedding.
