In one-to-one online tutoring at Heights International Academy, a tutor who teaches your child's exact board and syllabus works with them alone, live online, at times that suit your timezone. Why do families choose one-to-one tutoring?
- The whole class is about your child's gaps, at their pace
- Times you choose, including weekends and early or late slots
- Fast feedback on every past-paper answer
- Easy to step up before exams and step down afterwards
One-to-one tutoring is popular for A Level, O Level and IGCSE exam years. If your child is broadly on track, small-group classes cost less; meet our subject experts to see who would teach them.

One-to-one questions
Is one-to-one or group tuition better for my child?
One-to-one tuition is better when a child has specific gaps, needs to move faster or slower than a class, or has an exam coming up soon. Group tuition suits students who are broadly on track and want regular structured teaching at a lower cost. Many families start with one-to-one and move to a group later.
How often should one-to-one classes be?
Most students take one or two one-to-one classes a week per subject. Before exams, some move to three a week for a few months. The tutor suggests a frequency after the free trial, based on the gaps they find and the time left before the exam.
Can we keep the same tutor every week?
Yes, one-to-one students keep the same tutor so they build on what was covered last time. If the match isn't right, tell us on WhatsApp and we will find another tutor for the same board and subject.
Can a parent sit in on one-to-one classes?
Yes, parents are welcome to sit in or join for the first few minutes to hear the plan. Many parents in Pakistan and the Gulf join the first class and then leave the student to focus.
How long is each one-to-one class?
Standard one-to-one classes last 60 minutes. Younger students sometimes do better with shorter, more frequent sessions, and we can arrange that if you ask.
