Online tutors in Sharjah

Heights International Academy teaches Sharjah students live online, one-to-one or in small groups, for IGCSE, A Level, O Level and Matric. Classes are scheduled in Gulf Standard Time (GST, UTC+4), after school and at weekends, fees are shown in AED, and the first class is free.

Sharjah families often live in areas such as Al Nahda, Al Majaz or Muwaileh, with parents commuting to Dubai, and the Sharjah–Dubai roads are heavily congested at peak times. Since 2022, Sharjah private schools have taught Monday to Thursday, giving students a three-day weekend from Friday to Sunday. Many families use that extra day for structured online tutoring. The emirate has a large number of Indian, Pakistani, British and American-curriculum schools, so tutors need to match a wide range of syllabuses.

Where do Sharjah students sit their exams?

Exam centres and registration

Students sit exams at their own school where it is a registered centre. Private candidates for Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel exams register through the British Council in the UAE, which confirms venues with each series. Pakistani-curriculum students sit FBISE exams through their school.

School calendar

Sharjah private schools run Monday to Thursday, with Friday to Sunday as the weekend. Most British and American schools follow a late-August to early-July year, while Indian and Pakistani-curriculum schools usually start in April. During Ramadan, SPEA sets shorter school hours, and tutoring often moves to after iftar.

Questions from Sharjah families

Do you have maths tutors for students in Sharjah?

Yes. Sharjah students take online maths lessons with us for IGCSE, GCSE, A Level, IB and AP courses, as well as Pakistani and Indian-curriculum maths. Because many Sharjah private schools have Fridays off, families often book longer maths sessions on Friday afternoons. Lessons are live, one-to-one or in small groups, in Gulf Standard Time.

Can my child use the Friday off in Sharjah for tutoring?

Yes, many Sharjah families book online lessons on Fridays because private schools in the emirate teach Monday to Thursday. A Friday morning or afternoon session works well for longer topic reviews or full past papers. We can also spread lessons across Saturday and Sunday if you prefer to keep Friday free.

Do you teach Pakistani-curriculum (FBISE) students in Sharjah?

Yes, we teach FBISE Matric and HSSC students at Pakistani-curriculum schools in Sharjah and across the UAE. Tutors follow the federal textbooks and FBISE past papers, including the objective and subjective sections. Tell us your class and subjects, and we will match a tutor who knows the FBISE pattern.

How much does a private tutor cost in Sharjah?

Private tutor costs in Sharjah depend on the curriculum, level, tutor experience and lesson format, so there is no single price. Our fees are listed in AED on our pricing page, and they apply to live online lessons with no travel charges, whether you live in Sharjah city or commute from elsewhere.

Is online tutoring better than a home tutor in Sharjah?

For many Sharjah families, online tutoring is easier than a home tutor because it avoids arranging visits around parents' commutes to Dubai. It also gives access to tutors who specialise in your child's exact syllabus. A home tutor offers in-person supervision; we teach online only and do not provide home visits.

Do you tutor IGCSE students in Sharjah?

Yes, we tutor IGCSE students from Sharjah's British-curriculum schools for both Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel. Tell us the subject, board and tier your child is entered for, and we will match a tutor who has taught that specification. Lessons combine topic teaching with regular past-paper practice marked against the official scheme.
