Kuwait City's metropolitan area spreads from Salmiya, Hawally and Jabriya to Mishref and down to Mangaf and Fahaheel, and the ring roads are busy at school-run times. Online tutoring saves students a second journey after school. Private schools across the city teach British, American, Indian and Pakistani curricula, and Kuwaiti and expatriate students often attend the same British or American schools. With summer temperatures often above 45°C, online lessons also make it easy to keep studying through the hottest months.

Exam centres and registration

Students sit exams at their school if it is a registered centre. Kuwait City's private schools usually run from September to June, with a winter break in December or January and national holidays on 25 and 26 February. Ramadan shortens the school day, and tutoring usually moves after iftar. Summers are extremely hot, so many families plan online catch-up lessons then.
