Online tutors in Manama

Heights International Academy teaches Manama students live online, one-to-one or in small groups, for IGCSE, A Level, IB and AP. Classes are scheduled in Arabia Standard Time (AST, UTC+3), after school and at weekends, fees are shown in BHD, and the first class is free.

Manama is Bahrain's capital and commercial centre, and families living in Juffair, Seef, Adliya or Amwaj often send children to private schools elsewhere on the island, such as in Saar, Isa Town or Riffa. Distances are short, but evening traffic around the capital can still make after-school tutoring a squeeze. Online lessons fit more easily into the day. Bahrain's private schools teach British, American, IB, Indian and Pakistani curricula, and students often need a specialist in one particular exam subject.

Where do Manama students sit their exams?

Exam centres and registration

Students sit exams at their school if it is a registered centre. Private candidates register for Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel exams through the British Council in Bahrain, which asks for photographs, ID (passport or CPR) and fees, and arranges special access requests if made well before the exam.

School calendar

Private schools serving Manama families usually run from late August or September to June. National Day holidays on 16 and 17 December fall close to the winter break. Ramadan brings shorter school days, and tutoring typically moves to the evening.

Questions from Manama families

Do you tutor IGCSE students in Manama?

Yes, we tutor IGCSE students from Manama and across Bahrain for Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel. Tell us the subject, board and tier, and we will match a tutor who has taught that specification. Lessons mix topic teaching with past-paper practice, so your child learns how marks are actually awarded.

How much does a private tutor in Manama cost?

Private tutor costs in Manama depend on curriculum, level, tutor experience and lesson format. Our own fees are listed in BHD on our pricing page and apply to live online lessons, with no travel charges wherever you live in Bahrain. IB and A Level lessons sit at a higher price tier than IGCSE.

Should I choose a home tutor or online tutoring in Manama?

Online tutoring suits most secondary students in Manama because it gives a wider choice of specialists and fits around school timings. A home tutor provides in-person supervision for children who need it. We teach online only and never send tutors to homes, but parents can sit in on any lesson.

Do you help Manama students apply to UK universities?

Yes, we help Manama students reach the A Level or IB grades that UK universities ask for, and we offer UCAT preparation for students applying to medicine. Tell us your intended course and shortlist of universities, and we will suggest which subjects and admissions requirements to prioritise in lessons over the coming terms.

Can you support IB students in Bahrain?

Yes, we support IB Diploma students in Bahrain across Maths, sciences, Economics and English, including internal assessments and extended essay planning. Tutors follow the current IB subject guides. Tell us your subjects and whether they are SL or HL, and we will match a tutor with IB experience.
